I am happy to say that the spear provided by Erinestra's Weapon Emporium (ash-hafted and leaf-bladed) lived up to all my expectations when first blooded in Boldhome. Let us hope that when it goes into Snakepipe Hollow, it channels the lightnings in the approved fashion. Meanwhile, I shall keep shopping at Erinestra's Emporium - and you should too!
