Costs and Benefits
I was probably tired when writing this:
My intention was to adjust the rule to be in line with “A character carousing as the guest of a character with higher CHA must pay a carousing cost equal to that of the host.”“Lovers accompanying the character to an inn or private party count as IC. If a character brings their lover to an inn the additional cost is equal to their lover’s CHA.”
Added: “The same goes for bringing a lover to a cult ceremony.”
So from now lovers brought to ceremonies will cost the same as the player character’s donation.
Clarification: The cost for bringing a lover to an inn, a party, or to a ceremony is based on the higher of the host’s or lover’s CHA.
Examples:
Derdis (CHA 10) brings his lover Kenva (CHA 12) to an inn to carouse. The cost is 10+12 Lunars.
Derdor (CHA 12) brings his lover Insterda (CHA 10) to an inn to carouse. The cost is 12+12 Lunars.
Joining a Regiment
[When joining a regiment and buying ranks, ] There must be vacancies for ten-thanes and hundred-thanes, and it is not possible to skip a rank.
A character joining a regiment that is at the front, must immediately go with it to the front, unless joining the regiment in week 4.
Volunteering
A character can volunteer for the frontier as a pre-turn action.
Volunteering ones command does not have to be announced, although doing so is probably appreciated by those affected.
Teaching at the Military Academy
As battle and power skills now are public, the following has been removed from the rules: “If the intent to teach is formally announced, the character’s Battle skill will be made public.”
