Seems odd to me that twins is only possible with a complication.
Cost based off Cha - is this Cha of Father, Mother or PC?

I'll clarify in the document immediately: PC. Wealthy lovers will contribute with their CHA in Lunars.

This looks good. Perhaps twins should be slightly more common. but playability also comes in.
After the excitement of birth, there will have to be a period when things get back to normal (the child is sent off to boarding school?) I hope this can be telescoped slightly, so that there is not a 16-game year wait before a "new" character can join the campaign...

To be honest I'm not really in favour of having complications in childbirth in the game. It makes it all a bit dark.
I mean twins is fine, and baby looking nothing like the father is fine, but a lot of the other stuff destroys the lightness in the game.
So I would be against the new rules.

I knew that was a risk with a more appropriate event table, but the current one has mothers dying and receiving permanent injury from battlefield style wounds and only works for PC mothers, because NPCs do not have an endurance stat. I think that needs to change even if we go for a version that is lighter in tone.

I'm fine with removing it, instead of changing it.

Toss out complications but keep a d6 roll to see if there is more than one child?
