Really, don't believe those rumours about her cowardice, they are greatly exagerated.
Erinestra, sweet lady,

You don't qualify for the post as you are a Hundred-Thane, not a Ten-Thane!
Oh Baron, I am so glad that you are here to set me straight, I've really not got a hang of this war thing at all. All I really know is how to wield my axe properly. Oh and sell axes i suppose, but I ahve these annoying white feathers I've been given and I have to go to war to get rid of them. Any pointers you could give would be much apprecaited.

Sister Erinestra,

I'm happy to try and assist, albeit I feel I may not be the most competent to do so having been a relatively recent scholar to the art of warfare. Now, if it were pointers regarding the siting of a latrine pit, depth of such a pit, number of shovels and dirt carts required etc I'd say I'm your man there!

Great warriors like Erik, Quatlu and, our own, Fionn are sure to know more but I'll offer what I can -

1. Kill the enemy before they kill you.

2. Grabe any loot that's laying around and / or plunder the bodies of slain enemies.

3. Make sure you give sufficient praise to whatever god(s) you follow before any combat, I did and it seems to have worked.

4. If you receive any communications from the fellow calling himself King Broar The Benevolent, particularly ones offering to sell you a variety of items that, for example, promise to make white feathers turn into gold ones or a scroll guaranteeing your name will be sung in the very next Battle Song, ignore them!

Hope that helped!

Salutations and best wishes to you.

P.S I wouldn't been seen welding an axe in the regiment either, we're somewhat more refined in the jolly old Free Philosophers and use a broadsword. An axe....goodness gracious me my dear.....this isn't some Storm Bull outfit you know!

Fionn suggests that Lelina Orlgrevsdaughter, of the First Foot Brigade, is suffering from the stress of the past campaign season and should resign for her health's sake.

I give advance notice that I intend to take the 1st batallion of the Royal Guards to the front next month (Early Dark) in support of the Colymar Cavalry. Prior commitments prevent me from leading them to battle this month.

Can Erinestra apply to be an aide to a General instead as she's apparently overqualified for her earlier applciation...

I guess there may not be an opening, ho hum.

Also apply to be an aide to the King of the Sambari.
