Warriors of Dragon Pass!
Today, we march against the walls of Slavewall, a stronghold of the Lunar invaders who have trampled our lands and oppressed our people for far too long. But today, we stand as one, united in our purpose and our unbreakable will.
The Lunars have taken so much from us - our freedom, our dignity, and our heritage. But they will take no more. Now we strike a blow against their tyranny and show them that we will not back down.
The battle ahead will be difficult. The Lunars are well-trained and well-equipped, and they will not give up easily. But we have something they do not - the courage of our ancestors and the favor of the gods. We are the rightful guardians of this land, and we will fight to defend it with all that we have.
We fight not just for ourselves, but for our children and for all those who have suffered under the Lunar yoke. We fight for the future of Dragon Pass, for the preservation of our way of life, and for the freedom of our people.
So I say to you, my fellow warriors, let us march forward with hearts full of courage and weapons at the ready. Let us show the Lunars the might of our strength and the raging storm of our determination. Let us make them regret the day they dared to cross us.
For Dragon Pass! For our people! For victory!
1630 - 4 (Early Fire) A rallying speech by King Argrath
Re: 1630 - 4 (Early Fire) A rallying speech by King Argrath
Hurrah for King Argrath!
Fionn the dagger, soldier and scholar (Warlord and Loremaster).
Re: 1630 - 4 (Early Fire) A rallying speech by King Argrath
The army stood before their King, a mass of warriors, representing a wide variety of regiments, tribes and cults all cheering and waving an array of swords, spears and axes, cheering their praises with wild abandon, clearly impressed by King Argrath's stirring words.
Meanwhile......at the back of the horde a small, almost insignificant youth strained his ears to catch what the good monarch was saying whilst precariously balanced on a fallen tree stump. What was that, something about lunars and a yoke? Maybe someone was selling eggs on the cheap or His Majesty was promising a pay rise and change to the usual drab rations of corn and dried tusker meat? Well, whatever it was he didn't care too much as all this fighting business had proven to be much of a disappointment so far and if it hadn't been for the lunars he'd picked up in loot the last 2 months would have been a complete waste of time!
No, thought young Broar, let this King convince the others, these warmongering Humakti, Orlanthi & Storm Bull cultists plus the like, they can march off to war and probably never come back but he was done with all that nonsense. There had to be far better (and safer!) opportunities in the city, especially with so many of the current inhabitants heading off to fight, opportunities that he could seize! Someone had sent out word about a party for some dead bloke, another fellow Arthur or Arty or something was also inviting people to a different one AND he still needed to join that Lankhor Mhy lot.
Yes, a new season was upon the world so now was the time to act, jangling the purse at his belt he'd get his priorities right.....first stop the Temple of Uleria, then a horse, after that one of those parties.....the Gods bless Fire Season, what a wonderful time it promised to be!!
