A character can only be an initiate or higher in two cults simultaneously.

A character can only be a priest or higher in one cult at a time.

Priests must lead a ceremony each period.

Chief priests and high priests must lead a ceremony during the cult's holy season.

The following rules seem to contradict each other.

Assistant Priests and above can not belong to a regiment or hold military appointments unless in a Warrior Cult.

Assistant Priests and above who are in a regiment use their Power instead of Battle to determine battle results, unless they are in a Warrior cult in which case they can use the higher of their skills.

Does this mean that an Assistant Priest say of Lhankor Mhy can be in a regiment if also say a Lay Member of Orlanth?

Yes, that's the intention.

However, the intention was also that an assistant priest (or higher) can only use their battle skill if the cult they hold that rank in is a warrior cult. Thus an assistant priest of Lhankor Mhy who is also a lay member of Orlanth can join a regiment, but must use their power skill instead of their battle skill.

I will rephrase that part of the rules.

In fact, the whole Cults section needs to have the text rearranged in a more logical way.
