Don't shoot the messenger!

Dear Illustrious Grumbold & Quatlu,

I was most surprised to have been the recent recipient of a message from one Broar Hofarson, the fellow who calls himself a King and who I met on my way to Boldhome last year. Now, I don't know why he has chosen to send his message to me but it includes an instruction to relay the details to both of you and appears to have been sent in response to information that has reached his ears back in the Malani Territories, or wherever it is that he currently resides?

Firstly, to Lt.Warlord Grumbold he says to tell you that if you are in need of any 'Top Notch' wedding gifts for your soon to be bride then he can let you have some really decent items, unique ones in fact, for a super bargain price. All you need do is send him 500 lunars and he'll get everything to you in time for the wedding, guaranteed.

In regards to Warlord Quatlu, 'King' Broar remarked that he heard you were seeking healing and had been provided with a price that is charged by the Chalana Arroy Temple. He writes that he can beat that price, especially for a friend, what with him being an Assistant Rune Lord of Chalana Arroy as he says you'll remember. His offer is just 50% of what the Temple are asking and he also goes on to say if you were to accept him as Regimental healer to the Royal Foot Guards he would be able to do it for free! Apparently, all you need do is send him a signed order confirming his appointment (or the lunars up front for just healing).

Anyway, that's me just passing on the details to you and what this Broar Hofarson writes, says or does has nothing to do with me, I'm simply passing it on.

May Orlanth bless us all.

Torben

I urge you not to engage in any correspondence with Broar or bandy about gossip about him. As a wanted man who declared himself King of the Broos, he is clearly tainted by Chaos. I worry that you might be found guilty by association if overzealous types start flinging about accusations and holding trials. We wouldn't want you challenged to duels simply for waggling a loose tongue.

His concern over wedding gifts is unwarranted. Fortunately my boutique trades in precisely the kind of things that will be needed. I would show them off now, but it would not be appropriate for anyone to see them before my betrothed, Oneldna.

Live in the light,

Grumbold
