The Scribbled Scroll - Week 1

Post by Torben »

Dear Friends*,

This is to confirm the arrangements for this coming month's "In Memory of Malvolio Requiem Gathering".

Whilst gallant Malvolio isn't exactly dead yet it appears that he is as good as so what better way to say goodbye to our dear friend and military maestro than throwing a requiem wake type thingy in his honour. That way, you see, word might filter back to him, locked away as he is in that dark, dank, lonesome dungeon place and he may take a little comfort that even though no ransom could be raised for him, or rescue attempt arranged, at least people were thinking of him and toasting his memory#.

Everyone** is welcome, including a lover if you choose to bring one. I will pay for your refreshments, feel free to carouse if you choose! It is to be held at my new Inn, the Scribbled Scroll and I trust you will all have a damned fine time. Week 1 of Middle Fire Season, I look forward to seeing you there, hurrah!

Not being a callous man maybe one of the Colymar - say, that Erik Starkraving - could advertise and host a party that all the Colymar can go along to? Oh...wait...hang on....I've just heard he has tried to do just that but even his own mates can't be bothered to turn up!! Ah, well enjoy that lonesome drink Erik, get it down you boy!

* / ** = Not Colymar low-life types (too stinky, obnoxious, dull and well, just all round duffers)
# Per chance should Malvolio survive and escape can everyone please talk up loudly at the gathering to say how much effort I put in trying to arrange both ransom & rescue so if he is cross with people for letting him down I'm not to be included upon any 'Cross List'!

Blimey has the week changed? I'd better amend my orders.
