My dear Baron,

I just wanted to take this opportunity to pass on my thanks for your fine leadership and support during my time with the Free Philosophers.

We stood shoulder to shoulder during the recent Summer Campaign and etched our names and that of the regiment in military history, many a battle song being raised to our achievements. It is a time I shall never forget, my baptism into military life amongst the King's Army.

Time moves on and I seek the chance to prove myself as a regimental commander, to emulate what I have observed you deliver in the form of independent command success! Thus I have taken, with somewhat heavy heart, the decision to resign my post as Lt Warlord and enlist with the Snakepipe Dancers as, initially, a Hundred- Thane.

I believe my representations towards the current Lt Warlord of that regiment, to tender his resignation, has born fruit and thus the start of Storm Season should enable me to secure the vacant rank of Warlord and, thereby, the command I desire.

All the best for the future and may our paths cross once more, both socially and as comrades on the battlefield.
