Titled characters are expected to attend the Royal Feasts in weeks 1, 2, and 4.
Titled characters are also expected to participate in the games (riding) in week 4.
Week 1
Queen's Winter Feast
All noble women, female priestesses or above, and Ernalda initiates or higher are invited, in addition to all titled characters.
Men without titles may attend only as guests of women. Noble female lovers will invite their spouse or lover.
Members of the cult of Orlanth must wear green or brown, not blue or storm-colors, as the Queen insists this is a time of listening to Earth, not challenging it.
Each guest must bring a symbolic “seed” or gift of potential. It could be:
- A literal seed of a rare plant
- A poem or song about survival and rebirth
- An oath or promise to fulfill in the spring
- A crafted item representing peace, fertility, or the Earth
The two winners are decided by a POW skill roll with a skill modifier of +1/100Lunars worth of gift, OR +1/week of duty in spring, OR +1/poem or song (must be published in the Boldhome Crier before the order deadline). The roll itself can be influenced (lvl 6 needed, does not have to be announced).
In addition, guests may whisper a “truth hidden in winter” to the Queen or her attendants. It could be a confession, secret, longing, or vision. Anyone doing so and getting a result of 1 or 2 on a POW skill roll will gain an additional attempt of Queen's notice. If this fails they well gain a mention in battlesong.
All invited and all titled characters are obliged to attend if in Boldhome. Failure to attend will cost their CHA in CPs. Additionally, there is a 1 in 6 risk it will end any appointment they may have.
New Court attire will be required, costing 2xCHA in Lunars with a minimum of 20 Lunars (wealthy lovers will provide their own, but will not furnish same for their PC lover. Other lovers will expect their PC lover to provide for them).
Carousing is mandatory and will be covered by the Queen. Partying Wild is possible, and will also be covered by the Queen.
Attendees will get 1CP for attending Court, 1 CP for attending the Feast, 1 CP for carousing (and possibly 1 CP for Partying Wild) and (half the difference between the CHA level of the Queen's Palace (24) and their own CHA) CPs.
Attendees of CHA 10+ will, in addition, get CPs equaling one third of the difference between their CHA and that of Queen Inkarne (28).
All attendees have a chance to be noticed by the Feathered Horse Queen.
