Shadows over Boldhome

Post by Ivarenna »

I finished my axe practice at the temple drenched in sweat.
It was the last day in Earth Season. Soon darkness would be upon us. I thought upon how Uz trolls often raided the villages of the Amad at this time, and prayed to Babeester Gor to protect them.
I also prayed for the safe return of the brave warriors fighting the Lunars at the Front. Afur Brekalusson, Rufus Bronzer, Jarrek Garson, Grumbold Rahlefson, Julian Sartarvutson, and Rewolf Harkigson, may their names not be forgotten should the worst occur, and should the worst occur I vowed vengeance with my axe (a good quality model purchased from Erinestra's).
I stopped by the public baths to freshen up, cordially greeting my fellow warriors.
I spied Terdis Sennaleson there, who I had once had strong feelings for, although he had spurned me. However, he now seemed a pale shadow of his former self.
The sun sets early in Boldhome with the Darsh and Quivin Mountains to the west of Sartar's capital and the streets of our fair city were soon shrouded in shadows.
I wandered over to the Orlanth Temple to meet with Enteth and we walked together to Geo's which we entered taking a table by the fire. We ordered a jug of Apple Lane cider and a platter of cold roast wild boar, and celebrated my appointment as aide to Lady Instershi Terdisdaughter and my entry into the Candle Dancers. I demonstrated to Enteth some new moves I had learned with my battle axe.
An old man entered the inn introducing himself as Andrin the Storyteller. He launched into the saga of Alakoring Dragonbreaker. We were entranced as we heard of how Akakoring slew Drang the Diamond Storm Dragon and wept as we learned of his death at the hands of the elven archer Tobasta Greenbow.
I escorted Enteth back to her lodgings. As we parted I promised to meet her again at the late Autumn festival next month at the Temple of Orlanth.
