Eodal walks around the corner and grimaces. Finally returning back home after spending a few days at the temple is a sobering experience. The house still had it's bunting and decorations up outside and inside there were crates of drink and food ready for a crowd that never arrived.
With a sigh eodal begins taking down the decor and packing it away, thinking of how much excitement was involved in buying this place. His first permanent residence, beside that of his father. The pride he held for the place was tempered a bit now by the failure of the house warming, but even in the face of an inauspicious start there was time for him to rise to new challenges.
Finishing clearing the outside he enters the property and the bitter smell of old ale washes over him, empty bottles lay about where they fell and the considerable stock of party supplies remained mostly intact. They would have to go back to Geo's, Eodal was not a fan of waste, nor was he in the mood to try and consume the supplies by himself, despite making a strong attempt during the three day binge following the house warming. If nothing else the resulting hangover would be keeping him in check for a while on that front.
Still it wasn't all bad news, the sorry and lethargic state resulting from his excess left him able to do little but get lost in his thoughts. He wasn't sure how this led him to the decision that a reaffirmation of his faith was required, but it worked out well. Until he entered the temple he hadn't realised how much living in a new city had cut him off from his roots, and the familiarity of temple ceremony led to this place seem more like a home. "A new home for a new start." He mutters to himself as he clears up the place.
With the house and his acceptance at the temple Eodal's physical and spiritual needs were sated for the short term. Now it was time to work towards greater things, next time he decides to throw a party the whole city would be clamouring to get in! Smiling he picks up pack and gear, heading back out into the city.
