Quick question.

If one gains a promotion at the front but the character lacks sufficient CHA for the new position then what happens?

Is the character mentioned in battle songs instead?

I vaguely recall this being discussed but couldn't see anything in the rules.

You gain a Brevet promotion to the next rank, i.e. a temporary rank for 1 year.
