So far, it seems, I'm the lone US player, but surely that can't be true. I'm from Katy, Texas, just west of Houston.

I wasn't up for election this year, I just got to announce the results in the early hours after the UK General Election. My own election is not until 2026, I'll be sure to give you a shout nearer the date as always happy to take on new canvassers and leaflet deliverers! Vote Hofarson, I can just see it now.....except my surname isn't Hofarson unsurprisingly.....mind you that gives me an idea..... :D ;)

A happy update on the spam accounts problem:

On an online forum I found a suggestion which seems to have worked:

I added all spam accounts to a forum group called "Elite". I then created a section on the forum only visible to the Elite group and hid the rest of the forum from that group.

I named the Elite forum section "Advanced SEO Strategies & Monetization".

This seems to have sucked up the active forum bots who now post ten messages a day there with their phishing links. The number of spam accounts registering has declined to less than one per week. So it seems there was a limited amount of active bots, and those are now satisfied posting their spam in the "Elite" forum.

And maybe they are human workers rather than bots but the result is still a lot less senseless work for me.

Glad to hear you've found a way to get that under control. Endlessly handling mindless scut work like that must be really demotivating.
